In case you haven't seen this yet - eMarketer estimates a 3% decrease in U.S. social media spending. According to eMarketer, the recession is the culprit as marketers have been forced to cut back on budgets. The good news however, is that spend is projected to bounce back in 2010 with a 13% increase in U.S. social media spend.
Worldwide 2009 spending is slated to decrease 14% on MySpace and increase 20% on Facebook. So for those looking to invest in social media - Facebook is the place to be.
