pii2010 - privacy identity innovation

Taking place August 17-19 in Seattle, pii2010 will explore how privacy, identity and innovation are evolving in the digital age, and how to strike a balance between protecting sensitive information and enabling new technologies and business models. Thepii2010 conference will take place at the Bell Harbor International Conference Center along the Seattle waterfront at Pier 66. Then, immediately following the last session, we will reconvene 100 feet in the air on the Skyline level of the city's famous Space Needle for the debut of pii Labs, an open forum for brainstorming new ideas and solutions.

John Geffel - New to OEN...

I'd like to introduce myself, being new to OEN, but an "old timer" to the area.

I've been living in Portland for over 35 years, 27 of those years working at Sage/Timberline Software out in Beaverton. I'm a graduate of Portland State University for both my undergraduate and graduate degrees in business administration with a major emphasis in marketing. I live in West Linn with my wife of 34 years, Cindy and have two children Michael & Alexandra who are both successfully on their own now.

I joined OEN because after all those years, I'm working on starting my own software business AND also want to provide any help to others who are also choosing this path. I'm very excited to be involved with this organization and hope to be an active contributor here as well as in OEN's other venues.

I look forward to meeting you virtually and in person as I jump into this new world & life outside the "gilded cage". :-)

I'm looking for recommendations of an accountant to work with in the Hillsboro/Beaverton area. I'm starting a new technology company and I need advice regarding business organzation and taxation. Probably one of the big firms would be more than I need at this point - I'm thinking a small or single-person firm who has some experience working with high-tech startups should be just what I need.

I’m new here and thought I’d introduce myself to other Oregon Entrepreneurs. My great, great grandmother came across the Oregon Trial in the 1800’s, I was born and raised in Eugene and spent most of my life there. Six years ago I accepted a position to help develop a non-profit project in FL. It has been a good learning experience but I feel like a fish out of water being very much a product of Oregon.

My name is Rich Fuller and I'm the owner of LAUNCH Ecommerce.
