Through peers in my graduate program I have come across a website which many of you may find interesting. TED is a non-profit organization whose tag line is Ideas Worth Spreading. This organization hosts conferences where some of the world’s most interesting people are “challenged to give the talk of their lives” on whatever topic they choose. These talks are limited to just 18 minutes, and free videos are posted on www.ted.com. Some past speakers include JK Rowling, Bill Clinton, Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, James Cameron, interface designers, a former CIA covert operations officer, scientists, economists, musicians, etc. Check it out!
